This 1884 ‘CC’ Morgan Silver Dollar in premium Brilliant Uncirculated condition comes encapsulated for protection with Certificate of Authenticity. Type: Morgan Silver Dollar Year: 1884 Mint Mark: No mint mark Face Value: 1.00 USD Total Produced: 14,070,000 Silver Content: 90% Silver Weight: 0.7735 oz. Silver Melt: $20.68 Value: As a rough estimate of this coins value you can assume this coin in average condition will be valued at somewhere around $30, while one in certified mint state (MS+) condition could bring as much as $250 at auction. Heralded as boasting the best of all the Silver Dollar designs, the Morgan was an immediate hit with US citizens when it was released back in 1878. Production of the coin continued all the way up until 1921, when the coin was replaced by an even newer, albeit less popular, design.
The 1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar was minted in great quantity at the New Orleans Mint this year, when silver dollars were the only denomination produced at that facility. Examples are readily available in all Mint State grades. Worn pieces are abundant as well.
